Race to Wrigley 5K Run

The 5th annual "Race to Wrigley" 5K Run starts and finishes at legendary Wrigley Field, will help kick off the 2010 baseball season while benefiting the Chicago Cubs Charities.
The course route proceeds through the streets of the Lake View neighborhood before returning to the stadium — where runners will run through Wrigley Field's ground level concourse, finishing under the famed Wrigley Field Marquee (located at Clark and Addison).
Chicago Cubs Charities supports community groups and organizations, programs and projects in the neighborhoods around Wrigley Field and throughout Chicagoland.

Belmont and Sheffield has long been Lakeview's epicenter for all that's "happening" in Chicago among adults 18-34. The 26th annual Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival is a reflection of the lifestyle of this area. Boasting some of the hottest national, regional and local musical entertainment in Chicago, this festival also features fine arts, crafts and visual displays of new fashions. This festival is a true experience of all that's new and cutting edge in Chicago.
Donations will benefit the Central Lakeview Merchants Association.

It's all about GLBT pride at Chicago Pride Fest on Friday and Saturday, June 25-26, the days before Chicago's iconic Pride Parade (Sunday, June 27). Pride Fest showcases an eclectic lineup of arts & crafts, food and other vendors. It also features entertainment on two stages including one dedicated to some of Chicago's fine performers in the gay community.
Donations will benefit the Northalsted Business Alliance.

Celebrate Bastille Day and summer on Chicago's north side at Halsted Tastes Better, presented by the Northalsted Business Alliance. The festival offers visitors a vibrant mix of savory foods, refreshing drinks and lively music. It is the perfect way to enjoy the summer season. Crowds flock annually to the area to sample the finest dishes and drinks that the neighborhood restaurants have to offer. In addition to the culinary festivities, you can enjoy live music and cheer on your favorite server in The Waitperson's Race.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

This two-day community festival is located at 3700 N. Southport at Waveland near Wrigley Field — home of the Chicago Cubs.
